Bancroff Table Lamp in House Beautiful

Looking for a reading lamp? Orli Ben-Dor's article in the August issue of House Beautiful magazine shows a selection of "task" lighting, to include the Bancroff Lamp from Arteriors Home.
Made of antique brass steel, this modern accessory is a bit more stylish than your typical office lighting, wouldn't you agree? We think the green glass shade gives it that edge to light up your desk and help you get to work. Try not to work too hard though!

Outblush blog featuring Clayton Gray Home products inspires wedding ideas

Outblush, "a blog for girls who love to shop," featured Clayton Gray Home's Astor Collection Canister Set this week, as lovely accessories for an outdoor wedding. The blog mentions white and canary yellow as the wedding colors of the season, along with hot pink accents.

Here are some other great wedding decor ideas from Clayton Gray Home.

These Astor White containers go with the same line featured above. The stylish Italian ceramic ginger jar and decorative square vase make elegant accents for a formal affair.

Consider these lovely French urns as part of a ceremony, framing chairs or even the altar. Fill them with ferns or boxwood for a country French chic touch.

These oversized, 12" by 20" artichoke ceramic finials add interest to a table, bringing in shapes from nature with a creative, organic look.

For the rustic wedding, add lillies to these unique, white glass, tree trunk vases.

Another great addition for the rustic wedding: driftwood planters filled with wildflowers.

Thank you to Outblush for mentioning Clayton Gray Home products. Be sure to check out the great ideas on their blog.

As Seen in Life@Home Magazine and the Times Union's House Things Blog

Janet Reynolds, who has a great blog called House Things from Timesunion.com, featured a couple of Clayton Gray Home products recently. A division of Life@Home Magazine, her blog offers readers new ideas for filling their homes with "the right things."

Among her top choices from Clayton Gray Home are our Moroccan bowls, with their lovely color, distinctive design, and functionality.

Another of Janet's favorites is our hand-crafted, sand dollar hook rug to brighten up a porch or patio. It's weatherized and makes a great addition to a beach place or home with tropical decor.

Life@Home magazine, a monthly publication out of Albany, New York, recently featured Clayton Gray Home's sand dollar hook rug in its "window shopping" section.

All of us at Clayton Gray Home would like to thank Janet Reynolds, the Times Union, and Life@Home magazine for featuring our products.

Anne Harwell of Annechovie's July Picks

Anne Harwell — artist and creator of the Annechovie blog — picked her eight favorites at Clayton Gray Home. Her work has been featured in Daily Candy and Domino magazine, and her blog inspires creative minds all over the world. Anne was also kind enough to answer our fill-in-the-blank questions, so read below to learn more about her background and style.

MY BIO ...
I am a self-taught artist born in Michigan, but I've lived all over the country, from LA to Atlanta. I now reside in Bonita Springs, Fla., where I find inspiration in the laid-back, tropical lifestyle here. I started Annechovie a little over two years ago as an outlet for my work. Since then, the blog has grown beyond just a place to catalog my artwork, and now includes features on other artists and creatives, as well as design and sometimes even fashion. My readership is world-wide, with an average of 800 readers per day from as many as 45 nations. Developing great relationships with readers, fellow bloggers, and clients has been an unexpected bonus that is a real source of joy for me!

MY FAVORITE CLAYTON GRAY HOME PICK IS ... BECAUSE ...
The Marco large cabinet, because of the versatility, the simple lines, the unique texture and because I have a thing for nail heads!

MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT CLAYTON GRAY HOME'S WEBSITE IS ...
The concentration of great style and quality. Every piece is a gem and the owner couldn't be nicer!

MY DECORATING STYLE IN GENERAL IS ...
Preppy Beachy Bohemian Eclectic (PBBE!)

ONE GREAT DECORATING TIP I HAVE LEARNED OVER THE YEARS ...
Use only what you love and don't let peer pressure dictate your style. A quirky original always beats a bland copy-cat.

MY FAVORITE VACATION SPOT IS ... Paris

MY FAVORITE COLOR TO WEAR ... Aqua

COLORS IN A ROOM THAT MAKE ME HAPPY ARE ...
Orchid, green, aqua, fuschia

MY FAVORITE ARTISTS ARE ... Bonnard & Matisse

I MOSTLY LIKE TO PAINT ...
Interior scenes or great chairs with beautiful lines

Special thanks to Anne Harwell for sharing her choices and style with Clayton Gray Home!

Bungalow 5-Market Look-Top Favorites

Clayton Gray Home buyers are back from market and excited to share photos from some of our favorite vendors. To start things off, Bungalow 5 continues to captivate with their modern clean line furniture and accessories. Seems like we are always drawn to this style. You will see why when you see photos below.
Newest addition - mirrored Lara Tea Tables shown above with Brighton Lamp of white lacquer. The "Jacqui" design, which Bungalow 5 is known for, looks glam with it's new mirrored effect. Paired with the pagoda style Brighton Lamp, the translation is chic. Also new is the Michel Desk in it's cerused oak finish. This "flaxen" look is all the rage. The lighter wood feels fresh and accents such as colored glass or antique mirror can take it up a notch. Finished with the antique gold ring pulls and gold leaf stretcher, the Michel Desk is not your ordinary piece of office furniture.
Constant and classic, the Berkeley Line is strong as ever. Above and below, the Berkeley 4-Drawer Cabinet and Berkeley Side Table in cerused oak and white provide comfort for a room. These pieces in their lighter wood make a room appear larger and more spacious, which is appealing when space is limited.
Three drawers above provide great storage by the bed. Fill with books, stationary, odds and ends.
The Brigitte Line expanded to include this large cabinet above. Keeping with the curved front and tassel style pulls, the Brigitte Large Cabinet brings a style quotient we've not seen for the everyday shopper.
Cutting edge and captivating, the textured Frances 5-Drawer is bold and practical. Loads of storage, plus the finish is an unexpected lacquered grasscloth - available in black or white.
Lara Console or Desk is new from Bungalow 5 and we love it! The black glass shown above is sleek with it's 1 drawer and again the "Jacqui" look gives it a unique effect. The narrow design makes a beautiful vanity as well. The console/desk is also available in a mirrored finish, as shown on the side table above.
Frances Side Table is an ideal piece of furniture for any room. Roomy on the top for lighting, drawers for storage and the best part is the textured grasscloth finish. You are going to love this piece, as we do!
A new addition to the Brigitte line is the Brigitte Side Table with Drawer. Building on the success of the Brigitte Side Table (shown in white), Bungalow 5 added a drawer and raised the height just a bit. The curvy design silhouette is stunning in white, black or light blue.
Marco Console Table isn't new, but we couldn't resist showing how fabulous it looks against this colorful wall. Nailheads and lacquered grasscloth add distinction to this simple design.
Everyone has been calling about the Catherine Large Cabinet and we can finally say with certainty, this piece is a show stopper! The design is different than any of the other mirrored pieces we've seen out there. Knobs are fun, mirrored finish is dazzling and it can hold everything!

Finally the Audubon Artwork Set must be included in our list of favorites. Birds continued to captivate everything at Market from artwork, to mirrors, to linens. They flitter here and there and bring a bit of the outdoors into our homes. So there they are - top picks from Bungalow 5. Which is your favorite? Let us know.
