Whimsical Recycled Bottle Cap Magnets

Kate Grenier Designs combines her original artistry with an eco-friendly home accessory that transforms recycled bottle caps into magnets sold as six-packs, singles, duos, or trios.

Clever phrasing makes the magnets unique expressions that can be funky, fun,
or even inspiring. From places like L.A., Paris, and Brooklyn to interests like cooking, dogs, and music, there's truly something for everyone on her site. Teens will love the TXT and inspire sets for school lockers. Some magnet gifts celebrate a birthday, new baby, or time at the beach or lake.

Custom designs for schools and more are available. It's affordable, repurposed art that makes a great gift and a personal statement. Clayton Gray Home will soon add these little gems to our funky home decor offerings.

Celestial Cloud Stool - Summer Accessory

It's entertaining to spot that "it" piece, you know is going to be the favorite of the season. The Celestial Cloud stool is the accessory for the summer, hands down!
Swirls of white with an irregular open design make up this funky little curiosity. Extra seating or extra table, the choice is yours, and that is why it's the accessory of the summer! Versatile in use, plus the high-fired stoneware make it study enough for everyday use.Dress up or down, it will adapt to its surroundings. Just look at how it appears in the Traditional Home magazine piece above in the Manhattan duplex home of Stephen Elrod, Vice President and Creative Director of Lee Jofa. Together with Interior Designer Eric Cohler, they incorporated the Celestial Cloud stool into the new design of the bone white and brown hued living room.
Since the "white" version has been so well received, what a treat to now find it in a turquoise color above and blue below.
Just for those of you who always scream that you NEED more color! Regardless of color, they are all really chic. Best of all, they are for indoor and outdoor use. See magazine photo above showing the Celestial Cloud in an outdoor setting. Certainly more casual than the Traditional Home room above, but still works really well. In fact, I think outdoors is probably where I would use it the most. I'm picturing being able to hose it down after dinner. I also think it's cute the way they've pulled it up to the end of this picnic table. Add one at each end and you've just solved a seating issue. Send out the invites, time to plan that July 4th get together.

Christopher Coleman Interior-New York Spaces

Brooklyn's historic waterfront district (otherwise known as DUMBO) has quite a catch with Christopher Coleman, Interior Designer.
Pictured above, I found him in one of my favorite magazines, New York Spaces and wanted to learn more about his "look". Christopher believes in simplicity in design and is known for his use of industrial and slick materials. The graphic nature of the sitting room above really caught my attention. My eye goes straight to the dazzling drapes, then follows them up to the interesting light fixture, then back down to the cool chair in the front. Very simple indeed, but not boring.
Now I just love this home office above and had to show you. How about this Lucite desk that looks to have drawers. Genius! Lucite desks tend to be intimidating because there is no place to stash everything. This one is perfect for "real work".
However most interesting are the panels behind the desk. This newspaper screen, with it's black and white irregular image, adds to the uniqueness of the room. I can only imagine those do-it-yourself types whipping this up. Certainly wouldn't cost much to fabricate. I imagine you could make them movable as well. Just make sure the news you choose to display is worth looking at all the time! Oh and if you do, be sure to send me a photo and instructions - Clayton Gray Home.

Lana Ottoman-Arteriors Home-Metropolitan Home

Metropolitan Home just released their top 100 designs in the June issue and we weren't surprised to find the Lana Ottoman included.
(courtesy Metropolitan Home magazine)
Besides the practicality of this "3-D" Ottoman, extra seat or even side table, it's included simply because it's a pretty piece and we can all use a bit of pretty here and there.By Arteriors Home, the Lana is actually made from 100's of laser-cut wool flowers. Just imagine the amount of time needed to bunch all of those flowers up to make this cushy chair. The Lana is so soft, you can toss it around to where ever you need it. Working off of experience, they were smart to choose neutral colors from ivory to taupe, making it an easy choice to include in any room. "Sitting Pretty" really is a design favorite!

New Products from Arteriors Home

Fresh from the High Point Furniture Market, Arteriors Home proves once again, why their products are classic in style, but always with a modern edge.
Up first is the Sawyer Iron and Brass Table Lamp. This might be our favorite piece of lighting right now. Love the slender and curvy design. With the silver/gold color combination, we can tote this metal light fixture from room to room. We chose to pair it with the Cain Limed Natural Oak Desk to study the contrast of these neutrals. The "limed" finish on the Cain Desk is extremely appealing with a natural feel. Add to that the three simple drawers for storage, and you get a functional piece of furniture.
The style seen on the Daymon Floor Lamp is one we recognize from seasons past, but the new "bamboo" circles give a fresh appeal to this classic design. Tailored simplicity - that is the best way to describe the Calvin Leather Chair. Nickel base is clean and reflects a sleek surface for seating. Group several together in your living room or maybe in the office staged before a chic wooden desk. For serious impact, how about placing six of the Calvin Chairs around your dining room table. The result will have your guests in awe of your decorating skills.
Here again is the Cain Limed Oak Desk in our favorite color of gray. "X" design on the base is modern and industrial, while the overall wood construction keeps it sophisticated. The Cain is ideal for an office, but simply imagine for a moment placing this "console" in the entry of your home. Want to take it up a notch, add the Beaumont Snow Marble Lamp and guests will surely recognize your confident style. Check back at www.claytongrayhome.com this week, as we continue to add more new furniture and accessories from Arteriors Home.
