Thirteen and South Blog - More Industrial

Thanks for the mention....
Naomi of Thirteen and South blogged recently about "industrial goodness" and featured the Metal Production Table (shown above) and the Rivets Chair (shown below) from Clayton Gray Home.
Isn't it nice to be mentioned? It just really makes our day around here! So, after taking a few minutes to poke around the Thirteen and South blog, we were immediately grinning from ear to ear. Naomi has taken on a fun renovation project -- her own home! Even though the project is in the "not so fun stage" of electrical and AC ducts, readers can see a play-by-play of the entire project as directed from a design professional.
Certainly not a novice in this area, Naomi and her dad, Andrew (shown above) run the construction business Design Manifest in Philadelphia, PA.
The family-run business has 35 years of experience under their belts, so we're pretty sure they can handle this project. In the meantime, we'll stay updated with her blog to see how things are coming along. Don't worry Naomi - we still think you are cool!

NYIGF - Bungalow 5 new Furniture and Accessories

Recent photos from the New York International Gift Fair show the latest designs from Bungalow 5. We are loving the mirrored Catherine Desk or Vanity featured above. This piece is so versatile with its storage and the unbelievable reflection it provides to your room.
The Parsons line from Bungalow 5 is a newer line showcased originally in the summer collection. We are finally able to see some of the different styles in the various colors offered. The above Parsons Coffee Table shows texture with its lacquered grasscloth finish in Navy Blue. Such a nice change to work with navy blue when you want something a little different.
Lana Console Table and Lara Tea Table are shown in their options of mirrored and black glass. While we've seen mirrored furniture out there before, Bungalow 5 products always have that distinct accent that makes their pieces stand out. From Bungalow 5's original line, both the console and side table feature the "jacqui-legs" from their exclusive "Jacqui" line.
The Berkeley 4-Drawer Chest in Mahogany is a popular piece for its look and storage option. The mahogany finish makes it an easy fit into traditional settings, while the clean and straight lines offers the opportunity to "modern" things up a bit!
If you are at all familiar with Bungalow 5, you will instantly recognize and love the Jacqui 4 -Drawer Chest shown above. We have been placing the Jacqui line in clients' homes since Bungalow 5 first opened its doors. The collection has grown over the years, and now, we have 3- and 4-drawer pieces to work with.
Shown above is the Jacqui Desk in spring green. Featured in so many magazines, it's easy to see why it's such a draw to shoppers. The Jacqui Side Table in white looks stylish right next to it!
Welcome the new Niagra line from Bungalow 5! This is the first glimpse at the line with its brown cerused oak finish as seen in the above photograph and gray cerused oak as seen in the photograph below. The Niagra 3-Drawer Side Table is stylish decor that can easily be used in bedroom or living spaces.
Niagra Console is shown above in gray cerused oak. The wood grain is fascinating, and we love their color choice for its neutral "easy on the eye" hue.
Finally, check out the Frances 3-Drawer Side Table above in Navy Blue. The lacquered grasscloth finish is so sharp in the regal colorway. Brushed gold knobs will take your breath away. So there you have it! What do you think about everything new from Bungalow 5?

Better Homes and Garden - Mod Link Pillow

January issue of Better Homes and Garden magazine features the "honey" color and includes the Mod Link pillow in mustard found at Clayton Gray Home.
The article quotes New York City designer Elaine Griffin saying "Honey is great for the color-phobic. Think of it as beige after it has had a cocktail or after spending a day on the beach."
Since the Mod Link pillow looks like a cocktail itself, we couldn't agree more. Graphic pillows are fun to infuse playfulness to a room. Square shape is always easy to decorate with and we especially love linen. Grab a pair and start to decorate!

House Beautiful January 2010 - Ceramic Lamps

If you haven't checked out the "Ceramic Lamp" round up in House Beautiful Dec/January 2010 magazine, you really should. What a great assortment of lighting put together by Orli Ben-Dor.
We couldn't help but notice a few of our favorites here at Clayton Gray Home.
Batik Table Lamp by Arteriors Home - the blue and white pattern to this table lamp is what makes it so unique. In person, you see a quality light fixture with a carefully thought out pattern.
As you all know, anything from Bungalow 5 appeals to Clayton Gray Home. We were thrilled to see the Christina Lamp in Turquoise make the House Beautiful list. The crackle finish and deep color of this simple fixture looks regal on metal, wood or glass. We have had it on every surface and determined it's a winner!
Anyone familiar with Barbara Cosgrove Lighting knows that the "family" owned and run company, continues year after year to produce unique and beautiful table lamps. The simplicity of the Porcelain Bird Lamp above appeals to us on so many levels. The detail is unbelievable!
The list continues....
Finally the Annabelle Table Lamp from Arteriors Home is a fun addition to the list. The swirling psychedelic pattern brings wit and whimsy to your look. Added bonus for this lamp would be all of the great colors that can really tie in a look for you. We reach for this lamp quite a bit when we just need that pop of color or personality. So there you have it! Looking for a ceramic lamp? These are our favorites!

Gray is the new black - Bungalow 5

Back from Atlanta Market this past weekend with lots of wonderful new items for the home. We can't wait for you to see what we found.
Bungalow 5 showed their new "gray" color finish in a big way.
Berkeley 3-Drawer Brickfront in the "gray" cerused oak is a beautiful addition to this line of modern furniture.
Marina Console from Bungalow 5 also shows the new "gray" color. We love the "bowed" shape of this classic piece, while the texture of the cerused oak, keeps it from looking stark.
The Berkeley 3-Drawer favorite also has the new "gray" cerused oak color. The grain of the wood kind of allows the lighter shades to peek through, giving a vintage feel. Really chic in person! More to come from market!

Get the "Betsy" look!
Coastal Living features the Arturo Porcelain Lamp from Arteriors Home. Style director of Coastal Living magazine checked into the Betsy Hotel in Miami and found a new color scheme of lavender, yellow and beachy naturals.
Included in the picks for this "look" is the Arturo Lamp (above) for it's texture and natural color scheme. This light works well with any style, but looks fresh with their picks for the "beachcombing" section.
Sometimes all a room needs to freshen up is fabulous lighting. A lamp like the Arturo light provides an interesting accessory, as well as being functional at the same time. Purchase a pair and take advantage of a 10% discount on these lights.
